Suspension of sales to the EU and Northern Ireland

Josephine — Fri, 13 Dec 2024 19:11:25 +0000

General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)

The regulation aims to ensure the safety of goods not covered by existing EU standards and CE marking, including some already regulated but not when sold online or via distance sales. It is comprehensive, covering new products on the EU market.

We attended a webinar by the Department of Business & Trade today on this subject and given the complexity of it all and the huge fines for non compliance we have decided to temporarily suspend sales to the EU states and Northern Ireland.

We will continue our research and attend further webinars specifically related to Craft in early January and work towards becoming compliant.

We need time to look into this and weigh up the potential cost to our small business.

It’s an important regulation and we will make every effort to get this right so we can continue to sell to our wonderful European neighbours.

In the meantime we wish you a very merry Christmas and happy and healthy New Year.

Lots of love,

Josephine, Sophie, Judith, Claire and Sue.

The detailed stitches, the vibrant colour and the charming subject matter make these completed kits the perfect work of art.

We will keep you posted as Becky’s window takes shape.
